What's up lords? Here we are again, issue 6 of the Bexon Bureau. April was a helluva time, we shot another film, this time in NZ, won a surf contest (we're looking at you Mason Schremmer), and lost some brain cells in Japan for the premiere and online release of Kang's Retreat. Not to mention, we're back on track for a new episode of What They're Riding, this time we chat to funny guy Lachie Meakes about his Thomas quiver. Sit tight, buckle up and put your bluelight glasses on because this is gonna be a red hot read.

April started with a bang, the 7 units pictured above flew across the ditch for the 10th annual Single Fin Mingle contest. In the days prior to the event, they were lead on a wild goose chase by/with filmmaker Hunter Vercoe in hopes to score waves and document it for our next project (stay tuned).

Judging by the framey's we've been sent by Hunter, they scored. We'll let the imagery do the talking.

Mason Schremmer took home the win at the Mingle contest, onya Mase dawg! Her current board of choice a 9'2 Mooseknuckle.

To our utmost delight, we had two more of our lady team riders join in on the Mingle action and will also be featuring in our upcoming project, Luca Doble on the left with her 9'4 Keeper 2.0 and Charlotte Lethbridge on the right also with her 9'6 Keeper 2.0. Chicks surfing rules, everything else drools!

Enough of the neoprene scene and more of what we're used to eh? Boardshorts and blistering sun. Pictured above is big Con in Indonesia's stinkin' hot Indian Ocean. West Java specifically. Home to our favourite Javanese local 'Kang' Husni Ridhwan. If you haven't seen by now, Hus is the star of Kang's Retreat and joined Thomas, Harrison and Hunter in Japan for the Tokyo premiere and simultaneous online release on the 26th of April.

In this episode of What They're Riding, Lachie Meakes delves into the intricacies of pig dogging his Bantom Egg, why the Malibu is his pick of the longboard litter and why you shouldn't lean your longboards upright against your car.

To the untrained eye, Mr Meakes is just another hip van-lifer with a bodacious mullet. Watch him on Youtube for 4 minutes and 39 seconds and you'll realise this business-in-the-front man knows a thing or two about board design.
