The Slipper was brought to life through years of trial and error experimentation with our team to create a fresh take on the modern, high performance twin fin and twinzer. The bottom rocker and concaves of this one are designed for tight, powerful turns, while the twin fin or twinzer produces effortless speed and nice release when desired. Harrison wanted something that performs somewhat like a modern shortboard but retains the classic aesthetic and flow that he loves. The outline is relatively straight, which promotes speed and allows for beautiful drawn out arcs, while the flyer allows for extra curve in the tail, which helps when pushing in tight arcs, or riding the steep and hollow sections. 

With regard to the twin fin or twinzer - the twinzer will offer a little more hold and allow for slightly tighter arcs than the standard twin fin. The idea behind the twinzer can be hard to explain, but basically the forward fin helps to redirect the water flow to create a wider effective base of the main fin, which allows for sharper turns at a higher velocity. We can easily add a single FCS plug and include a twinzer set for the option if you’re interested. It’s fun to play around with! 

We’ve done up two width and thickness options for each length too. If you’re after a daily rider, we suggest you go shorter, wider, and thicker, or if you’re planning to surf bigger and more hollow waves with the Slipper, try the longer, narrower and thinner options. 

Lastly, the Slipper can be tweaked to work in everything from 2 ft shoreys to 6ft+ pits. Let us know what you’re after and we’ll customize to suit.
