The Bantom Egg is an eggy, performance-focused 2+1 to fill that 6’ to 7' void. The thing we love about it most is how little effort is required to generate speed.
The narrow but rounded nose holds plenty of volume up front for maximum paddle power. A lower rocker with a flat midsection to subtle vee out the back provides great drive and control - the harder you push, the more you get out of it. We make them with enough length to accommodate a bit of moving around on the board but not too much to leave you caught out - I like to shuffle up just a little for trim, and put the back foot right back when I want to jam a turn. The Bantom Egg is a nice option if you’re after something for clean surf, in the waist to double overhead size range, preferably with a bit of slope, though some of the crew like them in clean barrels.
